Bryce, I am investigating a similar claim against the City of Bothell, but my first advice to the client whose home was flooded was to file a claim with his homeowners insurance carrier and let them pursue the City on a subrogation claim. We are waiting for a response.

Does your client have insurance that covers this loss?

Subject: [WSBARP] Referral

I need a referral for an attorney who would handle a suit against a municipal entity for damages arising out of the bursting of a utility line which caused flooding of the client's property a claim has already been filed with the utility and to avoid the statue of limitations problem I have just instituted suit against the entity for damages however this matter would be tried in King County And therefore I'm looking for a referral to an attorney that could take over the case at this early stage since the complaint was just filed. Any referrals or self referrals would certainly be appreciated. Thank you
