The Washington Supreme Court has resolved an issue contrary to other appellate decisions.

When does the statute of limitations terminate the right to foreclose a mortgage, after a bankruptcy discharge terminates personal liability to pay the promissory note?

The six-year statute of limitations to foreclose on a deed of trust securing an
installment loan accrues with each unpaid installment, even after the borrower’s
personal liability has been discharged in bankruptcy.
