[WSBARP] Transfer to School Dist

Craig: I would do instead a Boundary Line Agreement under RCW 58.04.007, which doesn't involve the city at all, and which is applicable to an adverse possession/encroachment claim by the school district. Although, the statute does still require a Record of Survey to be prepared and recorded. Hopefully, you can get the school district to pay for the survey. Much faster and much less hassle and less expense than the Boundary Line Adjustment. -Greg

Listmates, I have another of those " simple" things that is being forced into an expensive mess. My client has a property on which the school district has a small encroachment. We are talking a few square feet. Client wants to give the property to the District. City is requiring a full blown BLA including a $25k survey (existing school property is large) as part of the submission package. I am looking for an alternative way to accomplish the goal. I know an easement may be my remaining choice. Any thoughts?? Thanks, Craig
