Wow I would like to see the legislative authority for that, given the increased number or robocalls I have received lately!
For privacy do we need to advise clients to get burner phones?

Yes.  I think it is crazy.  But that is what the county says the DOR is requiring !  In fact we can see the REET affidavits on line.

Once a client discloses their phone in a recorded document like a REET, then it becomes open to the public.

Just a heads up.  We just got a call from the county treasurer’s office, they said DNR now requires phone numbers on the REET for all the parties to deeds.  This was a simple gift deed from mom to daughter.
