[WSBARP] King County Recording

I received a notice that a transaction was suspended from King County. I
used the same process as I have used many times in Kitsap and Snohomish
Counties, without problems. I recorded a cover sheet and the following
documents: a quit claim deed and exhibits for 1) Lack of Probate Affidavit
with the Will attached; and 2) the death certificate. Husband and Wife
owned property together. The Husband passed away but no probate was done.
The wife wants to convey the property to a revocable living trust.

King County wants the documents segregated and recorded separately, which
seems to be nothing more than a revenue generation tactic. Have I just been
lucky in the past that the documents were recorded in this manner? Or does
King County have it wrong?

I would appreciate any authority and advice. Recording fees are getting out
of control!

Thank you in advance!
