I don't do these, but my 2 cents: if they have the wedding at a commercial establishment then the commercial facility (CF) is responsible under (Commercial host liability) for alcohol or over service, under dram shop. The CF should be trained on service of alcohol and knowing when to stop serving a person that appears to be intoxicated. The CF should have enough insurance, but you could probably request the insurance binder and dec. page from them. There is generally no liability under social host of overserving or serving alcohol at a party. If they did no one would have a party or even a wedding at their own property, IMO.

All,

Reaching out to see if anyone has experience in drafting wedding venue type contracts. Or if you might know any attorneys that do. I don't usually do this type of work, but agreed to help a friend out with addressing liability, alcohol, insurance etc. when it comes to these types of agreements.

Thanks,
