You may want to look at WAC 182-516-0115(4)(a).  In a revocable trust, the
house is not excluded and becomes a resource for a person needing
institutional care. The institutionalized person needs to convey the home
back to him or her for the exclusion to apply.

trust or do they have to take it out.
