'Mates, I have a matter where client trimmed 6 feet of laurel that
straddled boundary. Laurel remains 4 feet high and will definitely recover.
But in the meantime neighbor has lost "privacy hedge."

Any idea how the court would measure damages? Neighbor's demand seeks costs
to remove the laurel and plant a new "privacy hedge" that essentially
replaces the 10 ft laurel. That doesn't seem right to me, it is a big
number.

Thanks for any input anyone can provide!
