"The repeated use of the word " or" in RCW 59.12.040 implies that (1), (2),
and (3) are equal alternatives for notice under chapter 59.12 RCW"  Hall v.
Feigenbaum, 178 Wn.App. 811 (2014).  See also WLPM Vol V, Part IV UD
Procedure C.4.f "The three methods of service are 'equal alternatives' for
service and one may be chosen if the others are not readily available."

Listmates,

 

Is the posting and mailing, under RCW 59.12.040, of a 60-day notice to
vacate based upon the property sale, allowed without first attempting to
personally serve the tenant?  That statute starts out by "Any notice
provided for in this chapter shall be served either . . . ?
