[WSBARP] Setting a "Show Cause" Hearing for UD in King County

Hi Brain Trust -

So I have one of those rare cases where the owner of a property and her
minor children are in imminent risk of harm from an occupant/tenant who has
relapsed into serious drug use and criminal activity and refuses to leave
the property. There's certainly more facts here but I'll keep it to the
basics. I drafted and served a lawsuit on him that included an affidavit
from the owner/occupant explaining that she is scared and that she believes
she and her children are in imminent danger while the occupant remains on
the property. I attached police reports to the lawsuit regarding the
occupant's activity on the Property. The police are certainly aware of the
issue and won't make any arrests but they did encourage my client to have
the occupant evicted.

The occupant has responded to the lawsuit by sending many texts to my
client directly. Based on his conduct, there's no reasoning with him so
mediation is not really a viable option.

So, I have to set a show cause hearing in King County. Has anyone had
success doing this? I just want to know that someone out there has actually
had success filing and scheduling a show cause hearing before I decide to
give it a go.
