[WSBARP] Excise tax Dissolution

PC divorces husband and no mention made in Judgment of dissolution dividing
the (home) which was community property. Now Ex H will be signing Quit Claim
Deed. Is excise tax due?

I reviewed WAC 458-61A-203, and if since no longer community property and
not in court decree. Are they out of luck?

 

We can go the gift route but there is an outstanding DT on the property and
PC is refinancing. 

 

Any tips?
