Hi Chris,

We’re pretty happy with Clio Manage. We also use Clio Grow to track leads and push automatic e-mail notifications to clients. Clio has a lot of integrations, so if you add LawPay you’ll get automated credit card processing; integrate Quickbooks Online and you’ll get automated bill and payment syncing into your P&L, etc.
You might want to check out the reviews on Lawyerist, they list out 20+ options: https://lawyerist.com/reviews/law-practice-management-software/
If you want help sorting through the options, you can schedule a free call with the new WSBA Practice Management Advisor, Margeaux Green. https://www.wsba.org/for-legal-professionals/member-support/practice-management She should be able to explain some of the pros/cons. There’s some helpful information on that site as well.

Say hi to John Yip for me! I miss his calm demeanor around the office. Feel free to reach out if you have some questions, I am an admitted legal tech nerd.

Best,
Nick

My firm uses Practice Panther and I really like it. Used to use Quickbooks and Abacus but this is far better and developed by attorneys.

As of the first of the year, we are starting a new lawfirm. The current firm is using PCLaw, which seems to be dead (or at least dying).

So, since we have the opportunity to set up a new system, what do you folks recommend?

Just to put it in context, we will be a 4 attorney firm, so we are looking for something scaled to the smaller end of the spectrum.

Any and all suggestions on what to use (or what to stay away from) are appreciated.
