[WSBARP] Failure to notarize lease extension

Since lease payments have been received during the present extension period the doctrine of part performance would not allow a termination of that but does the doctrine also permit the right of a further non notarized extension which has not yet been exercised.

Part performance exception? Acceptance of rent after extension?

Subject: [WSBARP] Failure to notarize lease extension

Does a lease extension for a period of years which contains a further lease extension for additional years after the extension terminates require the signature of the Landlord to be notarized to be enforceable for the extension period after the present term expires. It should be pointed out that the original lease did not have the notarization of the landlord signature and my client recently purchased the building and was not the original landlord. Thanks in advance for your input
