[WSBARP] crypto $ and the state Dept of Financial Services referral?

Folks,   I have a friend who has been subpoenaed to talk/send documents to the state associated with his connection with Crypto money.  I am really out of the woods in that area.   Would anyone be interested in talking to him (or know someone who can) before he talks to the state, if he should at all?  I think that they think he has promoted one of the companies, but he says it was just his family.   He lost on his purchases of crypto money too.
