6:30-7 PM: Dinner

7-8 PM: Mini-CLE

Program:

The one-hour presentation features Chief Divisional Administrative Law Judge Don Capp and Senior Administrative Law Judge Lisa Dublin, relating to recent developments in sexual misconduct cases on college campuses and disciplinary hearings regarding the same. The presentation is approved for 1 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.

The speakers will address the current law on sexual misconduct hearings concerning allegations against college students in Washington State, including a discussion of the 2017 Arishi decision; how that changed WSU's manner of handling Title IX hearings; how OAH handles Title IX hearings; and current federal developments.

The Homan Award presentation and accompanying reception are complimentary. Registration for the mini-CLE and dinner is limited to 58 persons. The fee is $40 for Admin Law Section Members and Law Students; $55 for non-section members. There will be a cash bar for beverages.

The reception will include smoked salmon, artisan cheese, and bruschetta antipasti options.
