Yes, I think that?s the right expert.  I see it as needing someone who can certify that the bacteria have been eliminated and, I hope, the same person who can test to be sure all the mold have been removed so my client?s tenant can move back in.

I assume you are looking for an industrial hygienist, and not a building inspector. Husband and wife died within days of each other. If I open a joint probate, can I also open one Estate account?  Will the IRS issue an EIN for the joint estate (if so, would you just use one decedent?s social security number), or would each decedent?s estate need a separate EIN?

I open just one account for joint probates; the petition is joint and your letters testamentary name both decedents.  The estate EIN is based on the PR's social.
