[WSBARP] disinheritance

Seems like it, but that's still a formal Will whether client wants it or not. Disinheritance will only work with a Will. I suppose the Will could simply specify that she wants all property to pass by rules of intestate inheritance at her death, except that daughter X and her issue shall receive nothing...

If the Will doesn't specify a PR etc. then I think probate proceeds with an appointed Administrator with Will Annexed.

Sincerely,

Eric

Subject: [WSBARP] disinheritance

Client does not want a formal will nor to dispose of her property. She only wants to disinherit her daughter in a formal document. I suggested that the client execute a will that simply mentions her other children and then disinherits her daughter as one of them. Would this suffice?
