Hi Ron,

This sounds like a familiar theme. I had this happen to a client 2 years ago, but fortunately she got to me 2 days before the Trustee’s sale and I stopped the sale and then we negotiated a new loan modification. Wonder why PC didn’t get notices of default, foreclosure and trustee’s sale. I deal with this stuff all the time. Be happy to have an initial consult and see if we can help.

Sincerely,

Tom

Potential client hired and paid a law firm$3,800 to file a bankruptcy in June 2015, after receiving a notice of foreclosure on his house. Firm assured him it would be filed, but the filing never occurred. When he contacted the firm in around April 2016, initially they said it was done, but when he explained to them he had just had someone knock on his door saying “I just bought your house at a foreclosure sale”, they said they needed to look into it. They have refused to return his calls and did not refund any money. Wants to talk to an attorney to about his claim.

Potential client in Tacoma; law firm in Bellevue.

Thank you.
