My clients (seller) sold their house in the Snohomish area, the property closed in June 2016.



The seller did not live in the house for appx four years. The house was rental.



The buyers upon moving in found a massive leak from the upstairs bathroom all the way thru the downstairs causing some pretty bad damage. The sellers were unaware of any leaks, in fact on the F17 the seller stated that there were no leaks. The buyers are claiming that it’s the sellers fault and have placed demand on them. The buyers had an inspection on the property, the only issue of concern by the inspection was to have the sellers service the furnace, which they did.



Any thoughts on this? Wouldn’t the claim be against the inspection company?
