She had a refrigeration guy look at it, but he could only tell her what to do to fix it. He couldn't connect the problem to the vibration.

Sound Transit has their tort claim process, which I am aware of.

Thanks.

I am working with another client adjacent to the Angle Lake project. If your client has not done so already, there is a claims process with Sound Transit. ST has been settling these claims, many similar to this one. A mechanical contractor that specializes in refrigeration units should be able to assess the cause of the problem (but that is what you are looking for, right?). If your client has maintenance records for the equipment that would be helpful as the record would bolster that argument that the equipment has been properly maintained and the problem arose when the jack hammer started.
Good luck,
k

Client owns a grocery store near Sound Transit's SeaTac lightrail extension project.

Vibrations from hydraulic hammer (attached to a backhoe) appear to have caused her freezer unit to malfunction. Other appliances were affected as well.

She lost about $25k in thawed inventory.

I'm looking for an expert who can connect the vibrations and the malfunctions.

Thanks.
