[WSBARP] Post Foreclosure Eviction & Rent Collection

Hello All,

I'm working with a client who purchased a condominium in a non-judicial foreclosure auction.  The unit is occupied by a tenant who is a holdover tenant from month-to-month under an expired lease.  Our client is aware that he may not commence an eviction action until sixty days after service of the notice under RCW 61.24.146.  However, the tenant's attorney is claiming that the tenant does not need to pay rent.  Are courts interpreting the 60 day notice statute to relieve tenants from liability for rent payments?

Any guidance you can share would be much appreciated.
