[WSBARP] No Named PR

Dear Listmates:

I have not had this one come up before.

I have a client who wants a simple Will and does not want to name anyone to
act as his personal representative. He wants the State of Washington to act
as the PR.

He does have a sister in Pennsylvania and one in Arkansas but does not want
to burden them with the task. He does own real estate. He has no close
friends that he would choose to act as his PR.

What do we do in a situation like this? I, as well as another local
attorney, could act as his PR. I am wondering how others may have dealt
with this kind of situation when there is no apparent PR to serve. Does the
State of Washington act as PR in these kinds of cases? I have not heard of
that before.

Thank you.
