ESPN radio opined that there would be 750,000 people present. This is pure
speculation on their part, but they were getting calls from all over the
state from people saying they would be there.

‘Mates:
If you are not aware, a parade is scheduled in Downtown Seattle from 11:30
a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to celebrate the Seahawks Superbowl Win. It starts near
Seattle Center and is scheduled to proceed down 4th Avenue to the Stadium.
I cannot imagine that it will be at all easy to get into Downtown on
Wednesday Morning at any time and I suspect traffic will be snarled all
day. I suspect that the 12s will be out in full force lining 4th Avenue
along the way (Coach Carroll has apparently called for schools to cancel
classes for the parade). If the send off to the Super Bowl was any
indication (30,000 fans apparently lined the roads that the Seahawks took
from the VMAC in Renton to Sea-Tac, on a Sunday Morning no less) Wednesday
promises to be very very crowded here in the City.
So, heads up. I think it will be an interesting day here in Seattle.
