Hi List mates. I provided probate notice to creditors to DSHS, as required by statute, to the normal address. I also provided notice to the adult child of the decedent who may have had a claim for unpaid
child support owed by the decedent. I did not provide notice directly to the Department of Child Support (DCS) which is a subagency of DSHS. DCS filed a claim in the probate for unpaid child support for the child after the 4-month claims deadline, but before
the 2-year limitation period. Do I have a basis to object the claim arguing that the actual notice to DSHS was valid for DCS and that its claim was untimely? Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions on how to approach this. JK
