Andrekita Silva<br />______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br /><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">January 28, 2026</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">I have questions about MOBILE HOME PARK tenant law as well as how that relates to probate law.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Questions I have are: </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">1) If a mobile home tenant dies, who was the owner of the home, does a mobile home park lease terminate when the owner/ tenant dies?</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">2) If someone were to hypothetically remain in the home or if someone were to pay the rent on the space until the home could potentially be sold, what kind of notice must be given to whoever is occupying the mobile home (after the owner dies) or paying the rent to the park?</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">3) If the mobile home park files a claim for back rent, do they still have to file a lawsuit within 30 days or pursuant to RCW 59.20.073, can they refuse to approve any buyer for the sale of the mobile home unless either the buyer pays the back rent OR unless the Estate pays the back rent?
