<div dir="ltr">I do not include a REETA with my lack of probate affidavit. When I recorded a LPOA in the past, it was because I needed to record a deed. I record the Lack of Probate Affidavit with a redacted death certificate, front and back. Once the LOPA is recorded, I record a Deed and REETA. I reference the LOPA recording number on the REETA under the reason for the conveyance. I include the recorded LOPA & Death Certificate as part of the REETA that I upload to Simplifile. Different counties may have different requirement. I found the recorder's office very helpful when I called them with questions. doesn’t have anywhere for me to upload a REETA (which I have historically prepared with LOPAs citing the appropriate exemption). Is a REETA unnecessary? LOPAs are not
