<p class="MsoNormal">I have a client whose daughter has a housing voucher, and she is very afraid that her mother’s testamentary Special Needs Trust for her will disqualify her for housing in the event her mom passes.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I do not have any experience with the Seattle Housing Authority, and her daughter is not able to get any assurances from them, which does not surprise me.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I said the trust would not affect her benefits, but they want more assurances.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Does the housing authority even look at assets later or have a history of disrespecting trusts?<o:p></o:p></p>
