If she is still in the rehab center, she should still be able to qualify under Medicare for up to more than three months in the rehab. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif">I have frequently lobbied our legislators about how no one cares about the aged, aging, dead, or dying - but without liquidated damages codified in statutes that also provide for attorneys fees, this portion of our population (which we will all hopefully live to see) have hardly any advocates in civil cases once you have passed the age of wage earning. <p class="MsoNormal">I have a dear 95 yo estate planning client who fell in her home on 9/12, sustaining shoulder and knee injuries. After an all-too-brief stay in the hospital, she was discharged to a rehab facility before being appropriately qualified for
a 3-night stay. The hospital admitted its error and agreed to pay for 20 days. She is there still.<u></u><u></u></p>
