My advice to out-of-state clients is to open the estate's checking account while they are here visiting WA to handle estate busines, in a WA branch of a multi-state bank. <p class="MsoNormal">A client (PR for her father’s estate) lives in Phoenix and went into a local Chase branch with her Letters, DC, and EIN to open an estate bank account. Chase said they needed to forward her documents to their legal department for review
and asked her to obtain a letter from my office stating that she has permission to open an out-of-state bank account. The agent claimed this was common practice and said I should be familiar with the letter. I am not. Has anyone else run into this with
