<div dir="ltr">I have always wondered how title companies deal with estates that are selling real estate, when an estate tax lien might be present. But then I remembered that title insurance policies always exclude any liability for any liens that do not show
 up as a matter of record, and estate tax liens typically are not recorded. </div>

 an inheritance tax (which Washington doesn’t have) is paid by the beneficiary of an estate and is based on what that beneficiary receives.</span></p>

<b>Whattheheck is a succession tax?</b> Black’s law dictionary appears to liken it to an inheritance tax, but Washington hasn’t had one of those
