<p class="MsoNormal">Listmates, I represent an Administrator appointed very recently as closest kin to the deceased. A will has been discovered and my client is no longer interested in the estate. The will has been filed in the probate and there is hearing
set to determine who will serve in my client’s place. Meanwhile, I just received a wage complaint from L&I on behalf of an employee of the decedent’s company (essentially, a one-person operation about which my client knows very little). I asked L&I for more
time to respond because they have set a deadline which is before the probate hearing. L&I said no and “the process will continue to advance” if my client doesn’t pay up or provide records to dispute the employee’s claim by their deadline. Anyone had experience
with something like this? The business records haven’t even been accessed yet and it’s not clear whether this employee is owed money or in what amount - Shannon<o:p></o:p></p>
