<p class="MsoNormal">Depends on his contacts her, for in personam jurisdiction; all assets of the decedent are subject to Washington in rem jurisdiction and there is a year ago case from WA supreme court that stated there is a wide shallow net for in personam
jurisdiction. Case had to do with minimum contacts required for personal jurisdiction.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Listmates, Can anyone offer insight/briefing into the issue of the personal jurisdiction over a “party” under TEDRA who lives outside WA? Probate is pending in WA, where decedent resided on death. Decedent had a non-probate asset naming
a beneficiary out-of-state. The beneficiary of the non-probate asset has been personally served with Summons in his state of residence and TEDRA Petition (for RCW 11.54 family support award). He is moving to dismiss alleging WA has no jurisdiction over him
under WA’s long-arm statute - Shannon<o:p></o:p></p>
