<p class="x_MsoNormal">I just obtained an order of partition and sale for residential real property in King County, and asked for a referee to be appointed. The judge asked me to prepare a motion for the appointment of referee, and to pick someone for appointment.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">I’ve never done a motion for partition referee appointment before (neither had the judge), but I can muddle through it by reviewing the statute.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">Does anyone have a referral/self-referral for a referee? This case may involve an owner who doesn’t want to vacate the property.</p>
