<p class="MsoNormal">I have a case where probate was commenced and I now find myself in need of filing a motion to have a probate GAL appointed. I’ve only had to do this once and in the prior case, all parents consented to the appointment of a probate GAL.
The PR (my client) has non-intervention powers in this case. For various reasons, I do not want to provide notice of the motion for a probate GAL to the minor child’s mother if I do not have to (the father is the decedent). I can’t find any authority on
this. Am I required to provide notice? <o:p></o:p></p>
