She was a resident of Antioch CA. I do not believe that the sister had a will. She owned a small condo and a small stock portfolio. She is survived by a daughter who I believe is about 19 years old. The daughter lives in the home. I am not familiar with CA probate/intestacy statutes. I would like to give a bit of guidance to my client so that he can help his niece. But more importantly, I would like to obtain a referral to someone who can assist with the transfer of assets to the daughter in the easiest manner possible.
