This was his grandfather’s business and shares have been divided and re-divided over several generations. The family members in control are not very forthcoming with details. The client believes he may be entitled to business income or proceeds from the liquidation of business assets, that he may be a shareholder, and that the business may have significant holdings. The client is concerned that he has obligations to the IRS here.
