Dear Rob, my experience is that DSHS gives notice of intent to file a lien against the real property and then may negotiate some reduction. It all depends on the facts. If there is a child of the deceased that is medically needy you may be able to get the

Forced sale of real property will either not yield enough, or virtually exhaust assets of estate. Does DSHS negotiate these, and if so, any thoughts?<o:p class=""></o:p></span></div>
