principal needing the assistance the real issue should be whether the appointed agent is an appropriate choice.

is in effect. Not a great option because of cost and time – but an option. Also, if the language of the DPOA permits, you may be able to source other options for who can sign off on the certificate.

a battery of tests that resulted in a finding of “average to severe cognitive impairment.” The doctor used this to have her driver’s license suspended. Now the doctor says he can’t sign the certification that’s attached to her POA:

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Garamond",serif">“I hereby certify that Client is disabled or incompetent within the meaning of Section 2 of the Durable Power of Attorney to which this Certification is attached.” Section 2 says:
