etc. Has someone had a recent bad experience in offering a form or opinions to a colleague and then getting flak about it because suddenly it wasn't good enough for the recipient?<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D">Personally I always take information received on the list serve as only the starting point for my own, independent, professional diligence. If I blindly use someone
else's form and it turns out to be inadequate for my client's purpose, <u>the fault is entirely mine</u>. Same as if I get a case cite from someone else and don't bother to do my own follow-up research to verify it as current law.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D">We aren't consumers, we are the professionals. We can't and shouldn't have to rely on other people to do our work. Any time we get the benefit of another's efforts,
I think it should be appreciated for what it is: a gift, and a jump start toward meeting our own personal standards of professionalism. I don't think we should need a disclaimer or a bunch of express caveats from another lawyer to recognize that.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

to digital assets in light of the Uniform Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets Act (UFADAA) that became effective June 9, 2016. It is codified at RCW 11.120.

digital assets by giving permission in his/her estate planning documents: “If a user has not used an online tool to give direction under subsection (1) of this section or if the custodian has not provided an online tool, the user may allow or prohibit in
a will, trust, power of attorney, or other record, disclosure to a fiduciary of some or all of the user's digital assets, including the content of electronic communications sent or received by the user.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>
