<DIV>I have switched to efax. I email the faxed documents as a pdf to the
recipient, who receives it as a fax. They reply to my designated fax
number (I had my longstanding number ported which took a few weeks during which
time I had a temp number) with a 1 prefix and I get them as emails. Aside
from the slightly different number I have to give recipients they experience no
difference. At first I had a problem because I would do my own cover sheet
but eFax would auto attach its own coversheet. I found someone smart
enough to give me a code to embed in my transmitting email which turns off their
automatic cover sheet. Given the small number of people still requiring
fax, IRS and some semi literate clients in my case, it is a great
solution. </DIV>

<P class=MsoNormal>Office Management Question: Have any of you solo or small
office practitioners dropped your dedicated fax line and have any
problems??? My local Sheriff’s department is the only one using my fax
line for the past eight years on a consistent basis and they say they can just
mail their stuff to me (which is not time-sensitive anyway).

technology I can safely drop? Aren’t the courts allowing filing by email
