a TEDRA on behalf of the decedent (wife) settling a claim?<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>We were close to settling the distribution of
disputed funds in another estate matter (subject of the TEDRA), and the claimant
(wife) deceased before signing. <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The
total amount in dispute is under $100,000, and the deceased claimant would at
best only be entitled to about $35,000.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Deceased
claimant died without a Will and there are no other assets in deceased claimant’s
estate.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Or would probate and the
appointment of an executor be necessary in order for the husband to settle or
compromise the claim on behalf of the wife? <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">The added complication is that the husband and wife live in
