A PR is appointed for a recent deceased("D") whose spouse("S")
preceded D in death by about 8 months (not yet a year yet since
S's death). The PR was a friend of both D & S and is
nominated under S's Will also, but S's Will is not being probated
due to a recorded CP Agreement's effectiveness as to all assets.

If PR receives a claim from a provider for services to S, <font

be rejected (per, for example, RCW 11.40.010), or, if the PR
feels its a legit debt, get a release of liability from D's
beneficiaries and other creditors (if the estate is ultimately
determined insolvent, which we hope will not be the case) before
allowing the claim.

Practically speaking, given that the amount is under $1000, I
would not expect the creditor to trouble with pursuing the
matter.
