Jeanne's comment caused me to recall that a statute deemed an heir
to lack standing (so not entitled to any notices, inventory, etc.)
if not named in a will after the 4-month period to contest the will
has lapsed. But as I browse Title 11, all that I'm finding is RCW
11.68.041(2) concerning notices of a hearing for noninterventions
powers, stating "(b) An heir who is not also a beneficiary of a gift
under a will is not entitled to notice if the will has been probated
and the time for contesting the validity of the will has expired."<br>
<br>
I thought, perhaps mistakenly, that after the period to contest the
will had expired, heirs who are not will beneficiaries could be
dropped from the list of notice parties and any requests by them for
inventories and accounting could be ignored. If no statute states
so expressly, couldn't a PR essentially ignore them based on
standing principles? What do you think?<br>
