[WSBAPT] Credit Card Use Language

I did have an issue with chargebacks. I had offered credit card in my early
days and after speaking to a group regarding basic estate planning -
several members of that group all came on board. I was finally building up
some clients.  Then, after I finished everyone that had been part of the
same group (in like a three month period of work) - they ALL called their
credit card companies and said that they didn't agree. I lost just shy of
$20,000 PLUS the credit card fee. It was a massive mess.

According to the Bar Hotline, because I did not have language in my
engagement agreemen that included a waiver of the attorney-client
privilege, I could have been liable for a valid bar complaint if I had
tried to push back and fight the chargeback. That was nearly 9 years ago
but it still stings and I have been cash or check ever since.
