Special Administrator appointed under Ch. 11.32 RCW. The statute is broadly worded to allow shaping the duties of the Special PR to gather and preserve assets pending issuance of Letters to a full Administrator or Executor; could include authority to search for a will also.
Sincerely,
Eric

Subject: [WSBAPT] Securing Decedent's Home
Dear All:
Decedent died in his home and was discovered by a neighbor. Decedent was not survived by a spouse, children, parents, or siblings. Several heirs have been identified but we have just begun researching their contact information.
In the meantime, who has or who can be given authority to enter the Decedent's home to remove perishables and search the Decedent's belongings for evidence of a Will?
I hope this is an easy question to answer.
Thanks.
