Hello Listmates,

I have a potential client who is a U.S. citizen and resident of BC Canada,
where she owns a home and two small investment accounts. She is currently
living in her other U.S. home with her daughters, who care for her. PC is
seriously ill, and likely to pass away soon in the U.S. She wishes to
appoint her U.S daughter as her Power of Attorney (POA) to sell her home
and close accounts in BC.

Is it more effective to execute a BC Power of Attorney, or would Canada
allow a Washington State Power of Attorney to be used for these purposes?
PC would like just one WA POA, but is that best?

Any recommended BC attorneys in Sidney, BC who specialize in estate
planning, real estate, and cross-border legal matters?
Thank you,
