[WSBAPT] Probate attorney licensed in WA and CA

You normally open probate in both states.  In WA, there is no distinction between ancillary and normal probate.  Some title companies will use a lack of probate affidavit to transfer real property so you can check in WA or this if it will work for you.  I handle WA probates with CA real property.  What city in CA did the person die and own real property?

Good morning,

PC is surviving spouse. Deceased spouse passed in Dec. 2022. They jointly own real property in WA and CA, not in trust. Surviving spouse was told by a WA attorney that they needed to do probate in in CA only. Then the CA attorney said they need to do probate in WA first. All referrals welcome, including self-referrals.
