[WSBAPT] Registration of RLT - Required in WA?

Colleagues,

A (non-lawyer) friend prepared her own revocable living trust.  She mentioned over the weekend that her trust is “nearly complete,” she just needs to register it.  She apparently read this online and spoke with someone at the Pierce County Auditor’s Office who told her she must register her trust before she can transfer any real property into the trust.  I do very minimal estate planning (i.e., basic wills and POAs) and am certainly not an expert, but this surprised me.  Is there some requirement to register a trust in the State of Washington that I’m not aware of?
