Greetings,
I represent a personal representative who has been unable to get insurance for the decedent's primary residence. When PR notified the decedent's insurance carrier that the property was vacant, the insurance company refused to renew the policy. PR checked with their personal insurance broker who also told him that they would not cover a vacant residence. Does anyone know of an insurance company or an agent that will work with PRs to insure vacant estate property while it is being readied for sale and on the market? Property is in the Seattle area.
Thank you!
Warmest regards,
Rebecca King
