Hi Listmates,

I have a married PC who'd like to draft a will. She and her husband moved from Washington to Jacksonville a few years ago, and when she did so she placed her husband on title to a Florida home she bought with her separate property funds. She has some questions about what she is allowed to do with this FL home by will (she was told by a friend that, even with a will, she can't leave her partial interest in the jointly-titled home to anyone besides her husband). I can't advise her on this, although I sincerely hope that information is not true.

I will pass on all referrals although, due to her experience with a male estate planning attorney a few years ago, she prefers to work with a woman. Thanks in advance.

Best,

Candace M. Wilkerson
